No photoessay by hekebolos would be complete with at least one spider. So here it is. And no, it's not radioactive. It's just a barn spider. But the flash overexposed it. Shame on me for being a bad photographer.

You missed the black widow under the patio table at the pool area by the SDSU dorms on Sunday night!
I'd never seen one before. I have to say, it was a bit disconcerting for my first glimpse of such a poisonous spider to be just inches from my bare feet...
